The Innovation Council (IC) is appointed by the Steering Committee and is composed of internal and external experts recognised for their expertise in the (commercial) exploitation of research results. The role of the IC will be to advise the project on making the most of different exploitation opportunities for the research results, eg translation into marketable products and/or services, regulatory procedures and suitable partners. The IC chair person, also identified as the Exploitation Manager, is Hreinn Stefansson (deCODE genetics).
